"Discovering the Art of Doll Making: A Dive into the World of ODACA

Updated: Aug 17

Welcome to our blog about becoming an ODACA member and what's happening in the organization.

Would you like to be an Artist or a Patron Member? We would love you to join!

The Original Doll Artist Council of America (ODACA) is an organization for doll artists who create one-of-a-kind original artwork and their patrons who appreciate and collect their work. It is dedicated to promoting, preserving, and encouraging the art of doll-making.

We are also dedicated to having fun together and making friendships through the many activities and opportunities presented each year. Our blog will keep you up to date about what's happening in ODACA, ensuring you never miss out on the exciting events and activities.

Becoming an ODACA Artist

One of the exciting aspects of ODACA is the diversity of its members. The organization is open to skilled artists of all backgrounds through an application and a juried process that begins December 1st of each year. More detailed information and the application may be found on the home page at odaca.org. Click Artist under "Join Our Organization." There, you will find an article about the benefits of ODACA and the application form. Artist dues are $50 per year.

Becoming an ODACA Patron

ODACA welcomes, as patrons, those interested in the art of dolls and in supporting the artist members who create them. ODACA Patrons are a vital part of the organization and provide meaningful support, especially during the annual ODACA Day Luncheon, held at the United Federation of Doll Clubs Conference. Become a patron member by selecting the Patron button on the home page and then clicking on the green button. Patron dues of $20 annually include benefits such as the quarterly e-newsletter.

We would love those who create dolls, enjoy the doll world, or collect dolls to become members.
